Welcome to LokDoc, the wiki home of hand written documentation related to the projects found on the Lokorin's Programming Projects site.

What is a Wiki?

"A wiki <wee-kee> or also <wick-ey>, is a group of Web pages that allows users to add content, as on an Internet forum, but also permits others (often completely unrestricted) to edit the content. In essence, the wiki is merely a vast simplification of the process of creating HTML pages, and thus is an effective way to exchange information through collaborative effort. Wiki is sometimes interpreted as the acronym for "what I know, is", which describes the knowledge contribution, storage and exchange function." -- from Wikipedia.

Why a Wiki?

The answer is simple, anyone should be able to contribute with their experience. If someone feels that documentation is missing then that person should be able to request it or add it without even having to log in. If someone discovers something that is inaccurate or downright wrong then the person can edit it or even remove it.

Check out Help:Editing on some help information on how to get started with editing pages. Use the Sandbox to play around with Wiki editing.

Documentation for projects which interest people are written first. If a project isn't documented yet then showing interest in the project usually bumps it up the queue.
